Safety-First Scaffolding Services
At Y81 Scaffolding Services, safety is central to everything we do. All scaffolding is planned, erected, altered and dismantled in line with current UK legislation and recognised industry guidance.
We work to protect operatives, the public and surrounding properties on every project. As a result, our approach remains consistent across domestic, commercial and industrial sites.
CISRS Trained Scaffolders
All scaffolding works are carried out by CISRS-trained scaffolders. This ensures competence, correct erection methods and safe working practices at all times.
In addition, our teams have experience across a wide range of environments, including:
- Residential scaffolding projects
- Commercial and industrial sites
- Confined and restricted access areas
- Live environments with public interface
Scaffold Design & Industry Guidance
Scaffolding solutions are planned and delivered in accordance with recognised industry guidance, including TG20, where applicable.
Where system scaffolding is used, designs, erection and use are carried out in line with the manufacturer’s guidance and project-specific requirements.
However, where a scaffold falls outside standard guidance, a site-specific design will be arranged where required. This ensures compliance while maintaining practical and safe access solutions.
Scaffold Inspections
Scaffold inspections are carried out in line with statutory requirements.
Where agreed in writing, inspections can be undertaken by a competent person and recorded accordingly. Unless otherwise agreed, responsibility for arranging and maintaining ongoing inspection regimes remains with the duty holder, in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations.
Inspection responsibilities, frequencies and records are determined as part of the agreed scope of works, and inspection records can be made available where required.
Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)
Risk assessments and method statements are prepared where required and agreed as part of the project scope.
RAMS are tailored to the specific site and take into account:
- Access and egress arrangements
- Height and loading considerations
- Proximity to the public or neighbouring properties
- Other site-specific hazards
As a result, safe systems of work are established before works commence.
Insurance
Y81 Scaffolding Services holds appropriate levels of:
- Public Liability Insurance
- Employer’s Liability Insurance
Insurance certificates are available upon request prior to commencement.
Site-Specific Solutions
No two sites are the same. Therefore, scaffolding solutions are designed to suit:
- The structure and access requirements
- Site constraints and surrounding environment
- Programme and sequencing of works
This approach ensures safe, practical and compliant access without relying on a one-size-fits-all solution.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement
We regularly review our procedures and working practices to ensure ongoing compliance with legislation, industry guidance and evolving site requirements.
Our aim is to deliver scaffolding solutions that are:
- Safe
- Compliant
- Reliable
- Clearly communicated
